Summary
- The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro ‘Orca’ released TODAY, Sunday, November 1, 2026 — $190 in men’s sizing, $125 in grade school sizes, style code IV7127-002.
- Black/Metallic Cool Grey throughout: plush leather on the toe and heel, the signature net-cage side panels, and a metallic Swoosh sweeping the heel.
- It is the first low-cut Protro of an original mid-cut Kobe model — full-length Air Zoom Strobel over Cushlon 3.0 foam underneath.
- Release-morning market check: sizes 8–12 are already listed at $186–187 — under retail on day one, after pre-release asks of $300.
Yesterday we previewed it; today it is live. The ‘Orca’ takes its name and black-and-grey palette from the high-top Kobe 3 colorway Kobe Bryant wore in the 2007–08 season, rebuilt as a low — the first time an original mid-cut Kobe model has been reworked into a low-cut Protro.
The construction keeps the Kobe 3 unmistakable: the geometric net cage, plush leather at the toe and heel, and the Metallic Cool Grey Swoosh as the only contrast. Underneath, the Protro brief applies — a full-length Air Zoom Strobel unit over Cushlon 3.0, with more breathable materials, added tongue padding and updated traction.
The twist is the price behavior. Pre-release listings asked $300 across the board; by release morning, every size from 8 to 12 had listings at $186–187 — under the $190 retail. Kobe retros almost never open like that. If you want the pair, this is the rare Kobe drop where patience is already paying on day one.
