NN.07 puts a buckle on two Clarks icons — Wallabee and Desert Boot land November 10

NN.07 and Clarks Originals have revealed ‘Contrast in Conversation’ — a chocolate-brown Wallabee and a black Desert Boot carrying an oversized silver buckle strap — releasing globally on November 10, with member early access on November 9.

Summary

  • The NN.07 x Clarks Originals capsule ‘Contrast in Conversation’ was announced October 31; global release is November 10 via NN.07, with members getting early access on November 9.
  • The Wallabee arrives in deep chocolate-brown full-grain cowhide with silver lace tips, bespoke NN.07 hangtags and a dark inked crepe sidewall.
  • The Desert Boot goes black full-grain leather with a wide cross-foot strap and oversized silver buckle — and prices and style codes have not been announced yet.

Clarks’ two most famous silhouettes have spent decades arguing that softness and simplicity are the entire point. NN.07, Copenhagen’s masters of Scandinavian minimalism, just grafted hardware onto both of them — and the contrast is the whole idea, right down to the capsule’s name, ‘Contrast in Conversation’.

The Wallabee stays close to its classic shape, its pebbled full-grain upper finished with silver metal lace tips and co-branded details. The Desert Boot is the sharper take: black leather, tonal black crepe tooling, and that monk-strap-style buckle doing structural work across the chukka’s quiet profile. Both pairs use full-grain cowhide and keep the co-branding understated — an NN.07 leather tag here, an embossed detail there.
