Summary
- Dr. Martens’ ‘The Exorcist’ capsule reworks the 1460, 1461 and Jadon around William Friedkin’s 1973 horror classic, plus a backpack and socks.
- The 1460 carries a large portrait of possessed Regan MacNeil; the 1461 and Jadon push ‘I’M NOT REGAN’ out of the leather itself — etched and embossed, not printed.
- Available now via Dr. Martens Japan: footwear from ¥28,600 to ¥38,500 (tax included); no other markets have been announced.
Most Halloween capsules print a poster on a shoe and call it a day. Dr. Martens went somewhere darker: in ‘The Exorcist,’ words appear on Regan’s skin as if carved from the inside — so the Jadon and the 1461 carry ‘I’M NOT REGAN’ the same way, embossed and laser-etched out of the leather, the biscuit-brown undertone showing through the lettering on the 1461.
The 1460 is the loud one: Black/Purple smooth leather with Regan’s possessed face spread across the upper, ‘FAITHLESS SLIME’ debossed at the heel and repeated on an alternate set of laces, with the signature yellow welt stitching intact. The Jadon goes glossy purple Arcadia leather with a two-tone rub-off finish on its platform sole. A black leather backpack with Father Merrin’s silhouette and jacquard socks complete the capsule.
The collection is available now through Dr. Martens Japan — for now, Japan is the only market named, so international fans will need a proxy or patience.
